Mike Washburn Libertarian Candidate U.S. House of Representatives District 1 Idaho 2010
Independent voters, moderate Republicans and moderate Democrats; I need your support. Our two party system is
corrupt and is the cause of the financial crisis. Until the two party monopoly is broken, nothing will ever
improve and these kinds of crises will happen over and over again. The fringe elements control the parties so
even when you do get a moderate candidate elected they are completely ineffective. Both parties pass horrible
partisan legislation whenever they are in power and their motto is spend, spend, spend.
The percentage of independent swing voters is getting larger every election. Uniting under a third party banner
would be a powerful voice. You may not agree with me on all the issues, but it's bigger than that. My main goal
is simply to reduce the size of government, something the major parties are unwilling to do. Overspending
governments are unsustainable. History proves this time and again. Overspending governments collapse.
Your congress at work!?
I need campaign contributions, but more importantly, I need you to tell the pollsters you intend to vote for me.
We will gather more support when people see me rising in the polls and see there is an alternative, Libertarian
candidate that has a chance to win the election. This is important because people often believe they are just
'throwing their vote away' on a third party candidate. Once they see, in the polls, the third party candidate
does have a shot, they will be more inclined to make that vote. 5/27/2010
Ask yourself this question; Do the Republicans or Democrats have the political will to cut spending?
There is trouble ahead and I think everyone knows it, but the major parties just go on with politics as usual. When I ask myself the above question, I get a very definite NO. Please take a couple of minutes to watch the following videos. (they're short)

Are our elected officials representatives or rulers?
This Congressman
clearly feels he is a ruler not to be questioned by mere peasants.
By giving more power to Republicans and Democrats, will this type of behavior and attitude improve or get worse?
